Columbia Basin College Administration Building
2600 North 20th
Pasco, WA
Project Description
One of several Columbia Basin College projects, the 'A' Building
addition and remodel was quite challenging. One aspect of the project
was a new 12,000 SF classroom and office addition constructed of nominal
wood framing and engineered joist. The remaining portion of the project
was approximately 39,000 SF of remodel/modernization of the building
all while the administration was occupying the building. This meant
that all of the power, HVAC, safety and life systems and communications
must be kept operational. Great cooperation between Chervenell Construction
and the owner made this project run very smoothly and finish up six
months ahead of schedule.
Note: Throughout
the years Chervenell Construction Company has had the opportunity to
be a part of this campus' expansions. Other buildings and remodels have
been successfully completed by our firm. We are currently working on
the Washington Institute of Science Education Project and the Science
Technology Building. In January of 2005 we completed a state of the
art fitness center for the college.
