Project
Description
This modernization project included remodeling of the existing 80,000
square foot structure and adding new classrooms, a library, and a new
29,000 square foot insulated tile-up concrete gymnasium. This project
was challenging due to the phasing requirements of the owner and the
safety involved with children using the facility during construction.
Keeping all systems operational during this period was difficult and
there was an incredible amount of work needed during the first student
summer break.
The facility
is completely updated to today’s building codes and ADA requirements.
The grounds have been fully irrigated with a new parking lot to accommodate
this “new” school. We completed some portions of the work
several months ahead of schedule, which made this very tough job look
easier than it was.
