The new school is a 65,000 square foot two story building built on land purchased by the School District adjacent to the existing school site.
After the new school was completed, the existing school building was demolished and that area became the playground for the new school. The new school has CMU walls in the gymnasium and stucco and brick veneer on the remainder of the building.
Portions of the building have curved metal roofs and the rest are conventional built-up roofing with parapets. The building has common areas, an outdoor reading area and an outdoor classroom near Mill Creek at the edge of the property.
The new building was completed by the summer of 2009 and the old school was demolished by August of 2009. The old school site was hydroseeded and be available as the playground area in the spring of 2010.
