This project includes a new 45,000 SF office building, 12,000 SF laydown/printing addition, modernization of the existing paper distribution area, and complete site improvements.

To accommodate the addition, Chervenell demolished the existing road and re-routed main power lines that fed the Herald as well as downtown Kennewick. This transformation required precise coordination with all parties and was accomplished without affecting the surrounding areas.

This project was challenging due to the fact that the owner required having all services up and running 24/7 so they could provide the community with a newspaper on a daily basis. In addition, the Owner added a great deal of work, and yet this project was still ahead of schedule and under budget. The success of this project is directly related to the daily communication between Chervenell Construction Company and the Owner.
