Safety
Chervenell Construction's
commitment to safety can only be achieved through teamwork. Each and
every employee is dedicated to a safe job site, from the on-site craftsmen
to the superintendents to the office management. Every subcontractor
is required to submit a site-specific safety plan for our Safety Director
to review and approve prior to commencement of work. Our superintendents
require everyone on site to attend mandatory weekly safety meetings.
Chervenell Construction's
safety program includes the following:
- Pre-employment
drug testing.
- Pre-construction
site inspection to help develop a site specific safety plan.
- Orientation
and training for site specific tools and equipment.
- On-site training
for subcontractors at our discretion.
Results of our
safety program have included protection of our employees and subcontractors,
more productive craftsmen, higher quality projects, and ultimately
a cost-effective business, creating value for our customers.
All of these
factors have contributed to our Washington State Labor and Industries
Experience Factor to be well below the state average for general contractors.
